It's official. We are married. Done. Sealed the deal. To make it even better, we had the best time. No huge bridezilla moments and well, it was all that I wanted and even more. (some pictures will be coming soon)

Mark went back to work today. I'm headed back to my home town to show my MOm some pictures and ding around and life goes back to normal. What a joy ride it was though...

Just thought I'd share some of the events of the weekend with you...

Friday morning Mark and I drove back to my hometown, we checked into the hotel and then we sat there cuz we had nothing to do! We were pretty well organized and left no real last minute running around. TheN!!! We realized ooooh yeah we need the grooms ring ( which didn't fit and was at the jeweler ) so we raced to the store to pick it up. Friday night brought hanging out w/ my sisters and MOm and then Marks Nebraska bunch slowly trickled in from about 6 o'clock on and we hung out w/ them. They brought their own beer and didn't want to go to the hotel restaurant/bar to drink so we had to find a room big enough to hold us.... so...sure enough... the honeymoon suite. So...about 9 of them come truckin' in and we sat around and laughed and reminisced and I got to knjow a great group of people. Mark kicked them out around 11 PM and I headed off to dreamland for the big day!

Saturday JULY 1ST!!!

Mark went golfing that morning * with a promise not to get drunk * which he kept! The guy didn't even drink one beer.... I had visions of meeting Aunt Eloise w/ beer breath =)... I headed off to the conference center to start decorating. My co worker Deb...and old friend Mindy met me there along w/ my sisters and we just got our work done...and I had been to Target, Walmart and Cub FOod and back to my room to beautify by 12:15. No stress whatsoever.

Went back to the room, beautified, Mark came home he showered and changed and we tootled off for pics... We did not hire a professional photographer for the ceremony/reception/dance. I borrowed my camera to a friend. For some reason I truly knew in my heart this was all about the words, the meaning, not about the right lighting or the way my body turned to make me look not quite as fat... that was all I wanted... just to see some candid photos and enjoy the smiles on everyones faces in those said photos.

top that off with PUNCH....and open bar all night...and 9 pizzas ordered at 12:30 AM... we left the reception room at about 1:15 and I could barely keep my eyes open....

Was such a wonderfully, amazing time. Not one person said anything but good stuff... and yanoo...I believe them.. all in all it was just a great time...

To everyone who called, who sent a card, who left a well wish here... I truly thank you. This was one amazing day but to be honest it's just one day in an even more amazing relationship. I got this right...

and to quote someone who chatted to me on MSN yesterday....


"HOw's married life going this time?" ... I replied that it was fine so far... not that I don't expect our ups and down... but let's just say I will no longer be chatting to that person. THat was rude. Plain and simple.

We've already had our ups and down. I expect more and I also expect it to get even better. This relationship is based on trust, honesty, and friendship... and if we want it to - it will go the distance. I'm positive it will.

He is a good egg.
